The mac has a dual core processor while the alienware has a QAUD core processor of the same family…
The best processor the alienware can have is a Quad core i7 2.5Ghz with turboboost up to 3.6Ghz this is way more powerful than the macbook processor…
The only advantage that the macbook has is size, and it’s not a small advantage…

I’ve been a Mac user for about 3 years now and just recently sold my MBP13 in favor an alienware. For a small form factor laptop, the Alienware is definitely superior, power wise. The MBP13 has too many design flaws imo, e.g. inferior cooling, no more separate GPU in the 2011 version, the price tag for a MBP with a separate GPU is too steep and I prefer my laptops to be smaller tha 15 inches, so absolutely no option for me.#
Basically you get more bang for your buck with an alienware, unless you’re totally dependent on OS X.
