Is there way we can remove / uninstall apps from iPod Nano 6G? If there is such a way, then that is to hack iPod Nano 6G and remove the apps that you do not want.
Hacking iPod Nano 6G surely sounds huge. It could be done by changing the SpringBoard list. This would add some space between apps and would allows you to remove the apps that you do not want.
Here is the step by step guide to hack iPod Nano 6g to remove / uninstall apps:
STEP 1: Launch iTunes on your computer and select the option Enable Disk Use.
STEP 2: Now, make sure that you can view the hidden files which can be done at Folder Options, and there, make sure you click on the checkbox of Show Hidden Files, Folders.
STEP 3: Now connect your iPod Nano 6G to your computer and navigate it to Nano>iPod_Control>Device.
STEP 4: Now, copy the file IconState.plist and paste it somewhere on your computer because you need to make changes in the original file.
STEP 5: Now you need to add spaces between the apps. For that you have to make their titles strings which can be done by adding <string></string> between the elements.
NOTE: Once you add spaces between the names, the apps on iPod Nano 6G are hidden. But if you want to remove them, simply remove the whole line from the plist file.
STEP 6: Now you need to reboot your iPod nano. For that, hold the minus volume button and lock button at the same time , and the moment it starts rebooting quickly unplug the iPod from your computer.
