Root Samsung Galaxy Note And Install CWM Recovery


What is the first thing that one would do once he roots his Android device? Well most of the people go with installation of Clockworkmod Recovery. Since you have landed on to this post, it is quite obvious that you have a Samsung Galaxy Note.

This post is actually a step by step guide to root Samsung Galaxy Note and install CWM Recovery on it. Before we begin with it, it is one of the simplest and quickest ways to root Galaxy Note and install Clockworkmod Recovery on it.

Steps To Root Samsung Galaxy Note

  • Before we actually begin with it, download the file, Doomlord_v3_root-zergrush-busybox-su_2.zip
  • Once the above file is downloaded, unzip it somewhere on your computer
  • Now enable the USB Debugging by navigating as Menu > Settings > Application > Development and enable the option marked as USB Debugging
  • Plugin your Galaxy Note to the computer and then go with the Turn on USB Storage
  • Get on to the location where you have unzipped the above downloaded zip file and run the batch file named as runme.bat

Now all you need to is follow the instructions on the screen while this tool will take care of the rest of the rooting process.

Steps To Install Clockworkmod Recovery

These are the steps to root Galaxy Note with Clockworkmod Recovery. In order to do that, first thing you need to do is find the kernel version of your Galaxy Note so that you can download the below respective files.

Kernel KK1
Kernel KKA
Kernel KK9

But if you are bothered about the way to find the kernel version, here is the way. Navigate as Menu > Settings > About Phone > Kernel Version.

There you would find a code, something like the below one:

X.X.XX.X-XXXXXXXKJ4-XXXXXXXX

The characters marked in bold and italic is the kernel version.

Once you downloaded the respective file, unzip it somewhere.

Now enable the USB Debugging by navigating as Menu > Settings > Application > Development and enable the option marked as USB Debugging.

Plugin your Galaxy Note to the computer and then go with the Turn on USB Storage.

Get on to the location where you have unzipped the above downloaded zip file and run the batch file named as not-rooted-yet.bat.

Now just follow the instructions and relax while this tool will take care of the complete process of rooting with Clockworkmod Recovery.
