How To Root Samsung Galaxy Tab On Gingerbread Android 2.3.3


If you have been having a Samsung Galaxy Tab and running it on Android 2.3.3, here is the chance to root you. Yes, we are talking about how to root Samsung Galaxy Tab running on Gingerbread Android 2.3.3.

This root was shared by a XDA Developer forum member and in this tutorial he did the root on the CF-root kernels. Alright, we would not go into the technical aspects of this rooting tutorials. Lets just start with the steps.

How To Root Samsung Galaxy Tab On Gingerbread Android 2.3.3

For any root, we do have a set of requirements. Here they are:

  • Samsung Galaxy Tab running on Gingerbread 2.3.3 (how obvious this could be)
  • Download ODIN on PC
  • Download USB drivers for Samsung 32 bits | 64 bits
  • Contents to root, CF-Root-Tab7

Lets Start Rooting

Once you have downloaded the CF-Root-Tab7 zip file and extract all its contents. And then also install ODIN on your computer and launch it once it has been installed.

Make sure that your Galaxy Tab is not connected to the computer while you have launched ODIN. On the interface of ODIN, click on the PDA button, and the select the file named as CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS.tar which you will find in the extracted contents of the downloaded zip file.

Now its time to connect your Galaxy tab to the computer. So just switch it to the download mode and connect it to your computer.

While doing it, you need to make sure that the Repartition option is unchecked. And then click on the Start button on ODIN. That is it, within few seconds or may be a minute or two, your tablet PC would be rooted. This is how you can easily root Samsung Galaxy Tab on Gingerbread Android 2.3.3
