How To Root Dell Streak

ROOT DELL STREAK

STEP 1: You need Build Number to complete the successful rooting of Dell Streak. For that, navigate your Streak as follows:

Settings > About Phone

Here, you will find the Build Number. Just note it down somewhere.

STEP 2: Now you need Superboot files. Based on your Build Number, you can download the same.

STEP 3: Now switch off the Dell tablet, remove the battery, and place the battery back.

STEP 4: Now you need to boot your Streak in Fastboot mode. For that, press and hold the Camera button. This will switch your device ON and display fastboot on the top right.

STEP 5: Once you find that your Streak is displaying so, wait for few seconds may be 15 or 20 seconds and plug it to your computer using the USB cable.

Once you plugin the device, the Dell tablet will display FASTBOOT MODE. If in case it doesn’t, repeat Step 3,4 and 5 until it does.

STEP 6: Now, extract superboot zip file in to a folder on your computer that you have downloaded in the beginning of this tutorial.

STEP 7: Now, follow the step based on the OS you are working on.

If you are working on Windows OS: Double click on install-superboot-windows.bat file.

If you are working on Mac OS: Open the terminal window to the folder that actually contains the extracted file and enter the commands:

chmod +x install-superboot-mac.sh

./install-superboot-mac.sh

If you are working on Linux OS: Open the terminal window to the folder that actually contains the extracted file and enter the commands:

chmod +x install-superboot-linux.sh

./install-superboot-linux.sh
