Five Best Android Apps for Students

The current trend in Smartphone applications has given us so much more than just portable Facebook and hours of Angry Bird distractions. As students who are constantly on the go and constantly connected to a cell phone and internet connection, phone apps have the potential to really make studying, learning, and school much easier. The following Android apps can help keep things organized and accessible for the busy college student.

1. Google Docs: With endless assignments and on- the-go schedules, college students can really benefit from an organized and easy to use file storing system. The Google Docs Android application allows you to access your documents from any computer or device with an internet connection. This application saves your work every few seconds and makes it easy to organize your files. This application can be extremely useful for studying notes and reviewing assignments on the go when you are away from a computer.

2. Evernote: This app helps create, find, and organize notes of any sort for classes, fun, or otherwise. Evernote helps you to keep track of your thoughts and notes in one well organized place. You can use this platform to brainstorm in or simply keep your class notes here for safe keeping. With Evernote you can type, record, or snap a picture and store them all in one space
that is accessible from any device with internet. This app can be great for students who are contemplating their next paper or trying to solve a difficult math proof on the go. Inspiration and answers tend to come at the most inappropriate times. Using the Evernote app can help you keep track of your thoughts even when you aren’t at a computer or notepad.

3. ShareYourBoard: This application enables you to take a picture of the whiteboard in a classroom and share it with your friends. By detecting the edges of the whiteboard, ShareYourBoard takes a perfect picture of the whiteboard and then enhances the image so that you can clearly see all of the details written on it. This app can be a lifesaver for thorough note
taking or for days you missed class. In all its simplicity, this app is a must have for students.

4. GPA Calc: This app easily calculates your overall grade point average when you enter in your test results or final grades into it. Though it is very simple and something you can do yourself, this app is definitely worth the download (it’s free). Use GPA Calc to figure out just how hard you need to study for your final exam (not the best advice) or just use it to keep track of your
progress throughout the semester.

5. Knowledge: The knowledge app is a must-have for any student. This app allows you to ask it any question you might come across and then store the results to get to later. With knowledge in the areas of math, sports, weather, physics, chemistry, socioeconomic data, nutrition, culture, and much more, the Knowledge App can be really helpful and fun to use.
